Care Guide
-
Keep them dry - IMPORTANT: Dried flowers DO NOT NEED WATER - water makes their stems weak and mouldy. Keep your blooms warm and dry at all times to prolong their beauty. -
Keep indoors - Always display dried flowers indoors, to keep them protected from the elements. -
Avoid direct sunlight! Keep your dried flowers away from direct sunlight, areas of bright light and away from humidity. Dried flowers will naturally fade over time, particularly if they are kept in direct sunlight. -
Be gentle - dried flowers are fragile, and become more fragile as time goes on. Dust with a feather duster gently if they need dusting. The flowers are best suited in a spot with little movement such as a side table. -
Keep out of reach of children and pets - to keep them looking their best for the longest time, try to avoid them being knocked and being picked up by little ones. Dried flowers are not edible.
Here are some further tips specifically for the pampas grass stems, to keep them looking fluffy and beautiful...
Naturally shed their seeds - Please note when opening your package the pampas grass will shed. This is perfectly normal as it is a naturally dried plant, so please carefully remove from packaging (ideally outside) and gently shake stems to remove any loose seeds.
Place pampas in the sun - Place the pampas grass in the sun for a couple of hours to fluff up and create gorgeous feathery plumes
No sun? - Alternatively use a hair dryer on a high heat, low speed setting to fluff the plumes further and to bring them to life
Prevent shedding - Spray with hairspray to prevent further shedding and maintain the fullness of your plumes. But please only apply a light mist as you don't want the pampas being too stiff.
